Why is it so hard to buy pointe shoes? Is it just me or is the crazy amount of money you spend on them and they can only wear them a month or two! Or is the amount of time you spend making sure you have just the right pair, going back and forth to the dance store! Or is the time you spend sewing elastics and ribbons and removing them three times because no matter how you measure, your sewing is always just a little off!!
This is just all part of having a ballerina as daughter...watching her fulfill her dreams of being the best dancer she could possibly be and hoping and praying her little body holds out as long as she wants to continue this dream. She is so dedicated and practices so hard.

Then here comes her little sister, Kimberly she showing strong interest in ballet as well. She wants to dance like her big sister. She is having her first official dance recital next week. I am sure that means more pointe shoes in my future. I better get some arthritis cream now!! Yikes!!
So for now my life revolves around ballet and I would not have it any other way.
