Andrea had a choir program tonight that just blew me away. I was so impressed with the songs this teacher had chosen and the kids who sang them. They are preparing for UIL competition. This was like their dress rehearsal. Andrea's group got up there to sing and I was so moved by the inspiration in their voices. I could have sworn I heard my own little Andrea's voice a few times over the others. To watch her sing tonight was so enjoyable. You could tell she really loved performing those songs. They were "Only Hope" and "Behind these Hazel Eyes".
Of course I did not have a video camera or regular camera with me!!
Andrea will also be performing this weekend. She choreographed a piece for her ballet company. Her piece came in second place. She loves doing choreography and I am sure she will do more in the future. We are all looking forward to seeing that piece - it will be to the song "Fade to Black". This is actually a Metallica song, but will be done with classical music. Can't wait to see it!!! I have not even had a peek!!
Kimberly has recently lost both her front teeth now. I will post some pictures soon. I have had computer problems lately and unable to download pictures.
Kimberly also went to a birthday party at Ashley's house, where a big pink stretch limo came and picked them up. Then took the girls to the Sweet and Sassy Boutique where they got to dress up, have their hair done, nails painted, and do a fashion show. Here are some pictures...
I was surprised on Mother's Day with some red roses, cards, Kimberly made me a flower pot, and I got a spa package for the next day. You know I had a hard time accepting that someone else made an appointment for me to do something for MYSELF!! What is that??? I really went back and forth trying to decide if I should just reschedule it since I had soooo much to do ...and I finally went ahead with it. It was great fun. It was so sweet of Jay and girls to do this for me and really meant a lot. And it MADE ME SLOW DOWN! For a little bit anyway...
Hope all of you had a great Mother's Day as well!!
