Oh my goodness!!! I can't believe my little Andrea is now THIRTEEN!! She is now officially a teenager. She has grown up way too quickly for me. Not quick enough for her. Although I hope that she listens to me when I tell her not to rush it!!
These are moments in her life that she should enjoy. She is such a good girl, she loves her family, she loves to dance, she loves to spend time with friends, she loves to help others, and she has always had a special place in her heart for disabled or special needs adults and children. She surprises me with her patience and kindness she shows with others.(not always with her little sister though)
Don't get me wrong...she does challenge us daily...that is what children are suppose to do. We love Andrea's personality, she loves to laugh and be laughed at, she can be crazy one minute and serious the next. Sometimes she is very RANDOM. One thing she is for sure is committed to her dancing. This is something she has loved since she was little. She hopes to be a professional ballerina one day, and wants to eventually teach and have her own studio. I don't doubt one minute that she will do it.
Last year at 12 years of age, Andrea decided to accept Christ into her heart and be baptized. The traditional form of baptism, immersion. So we made special arrangments to go to another church just for the baptism. It was truly a moving moment shared by pastor, family and friends. I know God has big big plans for Andrea and I know she will continue to grow spirtually over the years to come. She loves it that she is part of the youth group at church this year. It has been great for her to be around such positive influences.
We are so proud of the little lady she has become and hope that she continues to follow her dreams, and keep learning how Christ's love will lead her on a daily basis.
Happy 13th Birthday Andrea!!

She is a Daddy's Girl!

Being crazy with Kimberly!! They do like eachother sometimes!!
